Laura J. Perry
PhD, CRC, CLCP, RMHCI
Laura J. Perry, Ph.D, is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, a Certified Life Care Planner, and a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. Currently, Dr. Perry specializes in helping individuals and families navigate issues related to behavioral health, aging, disability, and long-term care planning. She maintains a small practice in individual and family services, providing counseling services and geriatric care management consultation in the greater Gainesville area.
In addition to her faculty role in UF’s Geriatric Care Management Certificate program, Dr. Perry’s professional academic background also includes a number of years spent as an active faculty member in the College, teaching in both the graduate rehabilitation counseling program and the undergraduate rehabilitative services program.
Dr. Perry is a member of the American Counseling Association/American Rehabilitation Counseling Association, the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, and the International Academy of Life Care Planners. She is also a member of the Florida Society for Clinical Hypnosis. Dr. Perry is a three-degree Gator, having received her BA, MHS, and PhD from UF.
